We support Bloggers Against Hunger!
by soegianto on Aug.12, 2010, under Cross Project, Photo, Video
Since the first time I follow twitter account of @wfp, I believe Wood Food Program (WFP) will take action by involving bloggers to support their fight against hunger in this world. Pretty relieved realizing that Crossprojectministry.com is a part of humanity global action against the “hunger”.
Last month, World Food Programme Executive Director Josette Sheeran, expressed her enthusiasm at the WFP Hunger Seminar in London. “You [today’s students] are the generation that will end hunger… In the future we want our grandchildren to ask us what hunger and starvation were.”
With the fact that 20% of the riches who “might” doesn’t really know the feeling of hunger conquered 80% of the earth resources, meanwhile the 80% of the poor and pooerest is fighting for the 20% of the earth resources. Realizing this fact, we need to work hand in hand to overcome the problem. We should be proactively help the poor to get out from their condition. (continue reading…)
Three Hymns

Three Hymns
One Sunday a pastor told his congregation that the church needed some extra money and asked the
people to prayerfully consider giving a little extra in the offering plate. He said that whoever gave the
most would be able to pick out three hymns.
After the offering plates were passed, the pastor glanced down and noticed that someone had placed a
$1,000 bill in offering. He was so excited that he immediately shared his joy with his congregation and
said he’d like to personally thank the person who placed the money in the plate. (continue reading…)
Blessed Assurance!
by soegianto on Jul.13, 2010, under Christianity, Life
Starting this Jun, I decide to join with deogracias choir in gepembri in responspe for bu margareth invitation. And for your information, I am not good at understanding melody, one of my lack is my disability of my right ear to hear at low sound (based on checking in THT RSCM few years ago). But singing this song which written by Blind composer Fanny J Crosby, give me a joy of praising Lord for His Salvation given unto us, even in our lackness we still can praise Him!
So I sing this song in the morning on the way to office, training myself to understand the melody and the lyric. Try to overcome my gap by training more often, thus I can praise Him together with deogracias. Soli deo gracias!
Here is some article from wikipedia the background of this song. Happy reading!
“Blessed Assurance” is a well-known Christian hymn. The lyrics were written in 1873 by blind hymn writer Fanny J. Crosby to the music written in 1873 by Phoebe P. Knapp.

Prepare your A-team!

Deuteronomy 3:26-28
God had made it clear that Moses not to enter the promised land (Numbers 20:12). So God told Moses to commission Joshua as the new leader and encourage him in this new role.
This is a good example to churches and organizations who must eventually replace their leaders. Good leaders prepare their people to function without them by discovering those with leadership potential, providing the training they need, and looking for ways to encourage them.

Deuteronomy

Recently I do enjoy a devotion broadcast by my shepherd, which I think it’s too abundant to be kept for myself.
Have a read!

Deuteronomy 1:1,2
“The Israelites spent 40 years on a journey that should have lasted 11 days.
It wasn’t distance that stood between them and the promised land. It was the condition of their hearts.
God’s purpose went deeper than simply transporting a huge group of people to a new land. He was preparing them to live in obedience to Him once they arrived.
What good was the promised land if the Israelites were just as wicked as the nations already living there?
The journey was a painful but necessary part of their preparation.
Through it God taught the Israelites who He was: The Living God, the Leader of their nation.
He also taught them who they were:
People who were fallen, sinful, prone to rebellion & doubt.
He gave His rebellious people the law to help them understand to relate to God and to other people.
Your spiritual pilgrimage may be lengthy, and you may face pain, discouragement, and difficulties.
But remember that God isn’t just trying to keep you alive.
He wants to prepare you to live for service and devotion to Him.”

please don’t blame Me
by soegianto on Jun.18, 2010, under Christianity, Doctrine, Sharing
Numbers 20:1-5
“It had been 37 years since Israel’s first spy mission into the promised land & 40 years since the exodus from Egypt. The Bible is virtually silent about those 37 years of aimless wandering. The generation of those who had lived in Egypt had almost died off, and the new generation would soon be ready to enter the land.
After 37 years in the desert, the Israelites forgot that their wanderings were a result of their parents’ & their own sin.
They could not accept the fact that they brought their problems upon themselves, so they blamed Moses for their condition.
Often our troubles result from our own disobedience or lack of faith. We cannot blame God for our sins.
Until we face this reality, we will have little peace & no spiritual growth.”

“ayam goreng…”
by soegianto on Jun.15, 2010, under food, Life
Ayam goreeeengggg… Seruan khas ipin upin…
Just eat it baby!!! Ayam goreeenngggg!!! (Makan dulu yah)
enak
