Deuteronomy

by on Jul.01, 2010, under Doctrine, Sharing

Recently I do enjoy a devotion broadcast by my shepherd, which I think it’s too abundant to be kept for myself.

Have a read!

Deuteronomy 1:1,2

“The Israelites spent 40 years on a journey that should have lasted 11 days.
It wasn’t distance that stood between them and the promised land. It was the condition of their hearts.

God’s purpose went deeper than simply transporting a huge group of people to a new land. He was preparing them to live in obedience to Him once they arrived.
What good was the promised land if the Israelites were just as wicked as the nations already living there?

The journey was a painful but necessary part of their preparation.
Through it God taught the Israelites who He was: The Living God, the Leader of their nation.
He also taught them who they were:
People who were fallen, sinful, prone to rebellion & doubt.
He gave His rebellious people the law to help them understand to relate to God and to other people.

Your spiritual pilgrimage may be lengthy, and you may face pain, discouragement, and difficulties.
But remember that God isn’t just trying to keep you alive.

He wants to prepare you to live for service and devotion to Him.”

please don’t blame Me

by on Jun.18, 2010, under Christianity, Doctrine, Sharing

Numbers 20:1-5

“It had been 37 years since Israel’s first spy mission into the promised land & 40 years since the exodus from Egypt. The Bible is virtually silent about those 37 years of aimless wandering. The generation of those who had lived in Egypt had almost died off, and the new generation would soon be ready to enter the land.

After 37 years in the desert, the Israelites forgot that their wanderings were a result of their parents’ & their own sin.
They could not accept the fact that they brought their problems upon themselves, so they blamed Moses for their condition.

Often our troubles result from our own disobedience or lack of faith. We cannot blame God for our sins.

Until we face this reality, we will have little peace & no spiritual growth.”

Greatest love?

by on Nov.03, 2009, under Article, Christianity, Church, Doctrine, Life, Photo, Sharing, Thoughts

love
love2

Greatest Love… it might be, but the greatest love of all is when God given his one and only son, to save me… , it’s hard to understand by non Christian, but the story might given you an inspiration and more understanding about why Christmas is important for us, not because of that consumerism culture from the west but because He love me, so He come to die, come to save the unworthy, sinful, lost person like me… it is the greatest love of all….

this what Jesus,some known him as Isa Al Masih, said “This is my commandment: that you love one another as I have loved you. No one shows greater love than when he lays down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.
(Joh 15:12-14 ISV)

The Father loves the Son and has put everything in his hands. The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who disobeys the Son will not see life.
(Joh 3:36)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(Joh 3:16 MKJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You love me, when I was so unlovely,
You sought me, when I was lost,
You show me, how much You really love me,…
When you bought me with a highest cost,
Chorus:
There’s no greater love than this,
There’s no greater love than this,
That a man would give His life for a friend
There’s no highest sacrifice
That a man would give His life …
You have paid a precious price for me
You love me, when I was so unworthy,
You cleansed me with Your own blood,
You clothed me with righteousness and mercy,
And you crowned me with Your steadfast love
Ketika Atheis berbicara tentang berdakwah
by on Sep.28, 2009, under Article, Christianity, Life, Thoughts, Video
Sebuah artikel tentang seorang pelawak dan pesulap Penn Jillette, dia adalah seseorang yang dikenal orang sebagai “Magic Bullet.” Sebelumnya saya tidak mengenal dia, sampai hari ini saya baca artikel tentang beliau pada sebuah media sosial.
Beliau selama lebih dari satu dekade, dia bekerja sebagai magician enam hari dalam seminggu di Las Vegas dengan sesama pesulap Teller. Kedua anggota Penn & Teller duo adalah pemain berbakat yang juga terjadi untuk menjadi pendukung ateisme-kepercayaan bahwa tidak ada Allah.
A gift of Bible
Penn akan menjadi orang pertama yang mengakui bahwa dia bisa kasar, vulgar, dan berpendirian keras tentang ketidakkepercayaan kepada Tuhan. Tidak mengherankan, Penn telah melakukan sejumlah serangan terhadap Kekristenan. salah satunya yang dipost di Rose trick.jpg YouTube, “The Bible is Bulls—t” (silakan tebak-menebak kata-kata yang dihilangkan), telah mengumpulkan lebih dari 1,4 juta kali dilihat sejak rilis beberapa tahun lalu. Dan, ketika memberikan tanda tangan, Penn biasanya menambahkan komentar “tidak ada Allah” berdekatan dengan tanda tangannya.
Wowww…. :) seorang Atheis sejati, namun yang mengejutkan adalah sebuah Posting dia pada bulan Desember 2008.
Dalam klip YouTube yang berjudul “A Gift of Alkitab,” Penn telah bertemu dengan seorang “pria besar” yang menunggu di pinggir dalam apa yang disebut “posisi mematung” setelah pertunjukan. Dia berlama-lama, menunggu kesempatan untuk berbicara dengan Penn setelah penggemarnya pergi. Ketika suasana sudah memungkinkan, penonton yang tidak disebutkan namanya ini mendekat. Penn menggambarkan apa yang terjadi selanjutnya:
” penonton itu berkata, “Saya baru saja menonton pertunjukan tadi malam di pameran dan aku melihat pertunjukan dan aku menyukainya.” Dia sangat memuji tentang penggunaan bahasa, dan berkata tentang hal-hal baik. dan dia berkata , “Aku membawa ini untukmu,” dan ia memberiku Injil Gideon edisi saku termasuk Mazmur. Dia berkata “Aku menulis di bagian depan, dan aku ingin kau memiliki ini. Aku agak berda’wah.” Dan dia berkata” Saya seorang pengusaha, aku waras, tidak gila. Dan dia terus menerus menatap tepat di mata sambil berbicara. (continue reading…)
se-jam tanpa Dosa…
by on Apr.28, 2009, under Article, Christianity
Seorang gadis kecil bertanya kepada ayahnya, “Ayah, bisakah seseorang melewati seumur hidupnya tanpa berbuat dosa?”
Ayahnya menjawab sambil tersenyum : “tak mungkin, nak.”
“Bisakah seseorang hidup setahun tanpa berbuat dosa?” tanyanya lagi.
Ayahnya berkata: “tak mungkin, nak.”
“Bisakah seseorang hidup sebulan tanpa berbuat dosa?”
Lagi-lagi ayahnya berkata : “Tak mungkin, nak.”
“Bisakah seseorang hidup sehari saja tanpa berbuat dosa?” gadis kecil itu bertanya lagi.
Ayahnya mengernyitkan dahi dan berpikir keras untuk menjawab: “mm….. mungkin bisa, nak.”
“Lalu…. bisakah seseorang hidup satu jam tanpa dosa? tanpa berbuat jahat untuk beberapa saat, hanya waktu demi waktu saja, yah? Bisakah?”
Ayahnya tertawa dan berkata : “Nah, kalau itu pasti bisa, nak.”
Gadis kecil itu tersenyum lega dan berkata : “Kalau begitu ayah, aku mau memperhatikan hidupku jam demi jam, waktu demi waktu, momen demi momen, supaya aku bisa belajar tidak berbuat dosa. Kurasa hidup jam demi jam lebih mudah dijalani, ya?”
The Hole in Our Church
by on Mar.20, 2009, under Article, Books, Christianity, Church, Doctrine, Video
Nice book to read, a forward from my friends. You can get the info about the writer below. Please take a look and read the article. Really give an inspiration and self-answered for the question which part of our Gospel is having the hole? Have a read! and May Gbu.
Prologue
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you
good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
—L U K E 2 : 1 0
Rakai, Uganda, August 1998
His name was Richard, the same as mine. I sat inside his meager thatch hut, listening to his story, told through the tears of an orphan whose parents had died of AIDS. At thirteen, Richard was trying to raise his two younger brothers by himself in this small shack with no running water, electricity, or even beds to sleep in. There were no adults in their lives—no one to care for them, feed them, love them, or teach them how to become men. There was no one to hug them either, or to tuck them in at night. Other than his siblings, Richard was alone, as no child should be. I try to picture my own children abandoned in this kind of deprivation, fending for themselves without parents to protect them, and I cannot.
I didn’t want to be there. I wasn’t supposed to be there, so far out of my comfort zone—not in that place where orphaned children live by themselves in their agony. There, poverty, disease, and squalor had eyes and faces that stared back, and I had to see and smell and touch the pain of the poor. That particular district, Rakai, is believed to be ground zero for the Ugandan AIDS pandemic. (continue reading…)
Love never Fails, it doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that other do…. but Lord…
by on Feb.13, 2009, under Christianity, Life, Thoughts
Q : I am hurt Lord, so deeply hurt… I am fail Lord…!
A : Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. Love never fails! Everyone who prophesies will stop, and unknown languages will no longer be spoken. All that we know will be forgotten.
(1Co 13:4-8 CEV)
Q : Why should I forgive Lord ?
A : Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you. Love is more important than anything else. It is what ties everything completely together.
(Col 3:13-14 CEV)
Q : How many times I should forgive Lord!
A : Peter came up to the Lord and asked, “How many times should I forgive someone who does something wrong to me? Is seven times enough?” Jesus answered: Not just seven times, but seventy-seven times!
(Mat 18:21-22 CEV) (continue reading…)
